Itinerary for a four night stay in Stella Maris, Stella Plage, (40pax + group). France.

 

  • DAY 1
  1. Depart your school by coach for Folkestone.
  2. Embarkation on the Eurotunnel and Channel crossing.
  3. Disembarkation in Coquelles and transfer by coach for your residential centre ‘Stella Maris’ in Stella Plage.
  4. Room allocation and lunch. In the afternoon, depart by coach for Camiers for Opalaventure : Top tree trail supervised by specialised instructors.
  5. Return to your residential centre.
  6. Dinner and full board accommodation for four nights.
  • DAY 2
  1. After breakfast, depart by coach for Berck sur Mer : groups swap activities : one group for the visit to “Musée d’Opale Sud” to discover the museum and to take part in a workshop (first group 09h00-10h15, second group 10h30-11h45).
  2. The other group to visit « Le Succès Berckois » (first group : 09h00-10h00, second group 10h45-11h45). In this traditional sweet shop you’ll see how sugar is poured onto a slab, then cut up with confectioner’s scissors.
  3. At the end of the visit each child receives a warm lollipop to give it a personal shape.
  4. Lunch at the residential centre Cottage des Dunes.
  5. In the afternoon, discovery of Berck sur Mer with Cyclo-Fun, those seven seat bikes.
  6. Free time to play on the beach.
  7. Return to your residential centre Stella Maris for dinner.
  • DAY 3
  1. After breakfast, depart by coach for the farm in Clenleu (09h45-13h15) where pupils will learn how to make traditional wheat plaiting and bread. Lunch at the crêperie : ‘crêpes et pain perdu’.
  2. After that, each pupil will leave with a straw heart and the bread they’ve baked.
  3. Transfer by coach to Camiers Sainte-Cécile where the group will be spilt into two (14h00-16h00) : first group for a sand sailing session with experienced instructors and second group for an orienteering race (supervised by specialised instructors) in the park of Château du Rohart (close to the beach of Ste Cécile).
  4. Return by coach to your residential centre with a stop to visit the English Cemetery of the First and Second World War located in the suburbs of Etaples.
  5. Dinner at the residential centre.
  • DAY 4
  1. After breakfast, depart by coach for Etaples to visit the school and pupils you have been writing to : La Jolie Ronde educational activities in Ecole Saint-Joseph in Etaples.
  2. Return to your residential centre for lunch.
  3. Transfer by coach to Camiers Sainte-Cécile where the group will be spilt into two (15h00-17h00) : first group for a sand sailing session with experienced instructors and second group for an orienteering race in the park of Château du Rohart (close to the beach of Ste Cécile).
  4. Return by coach to the residential centre for dinner.
  • DAY 5
  1. After breakfast, depart your residential centre by coach for the local market in Etaples to discover a traditional French market with language exercises.
  2. Return to your residential centre for lunch.
  3. In the afternoon, visit Nausicaà, the National Centre of Aquatic Life in Boulogne, visit with close-up views of the sharks and the sea-lions.
  4.  Depart by coach for Coquelles. Embarkation on board the Eurotunnel and Channel crossing.
  5. Picnic dinner included in the price.
  6. Arrival in Folkestone and direct transfer to your school.
